Clan meeting

Icestar jumped up onto the highrock. "Let all the cats old enough to catch their own prey gather below the highrock for a clan meeting!" Her voice rang loud through out the clan. "We need a new deputy and I have chosen one, who I think won't let me down. Branchstep you will be the new clan deputy. And before anyone leaves, I want to announce that not only is Branchfern going to be my deputy, but my mate as well." Icestar jumped off the highrock and went over to congradulate Branchfern.

Branchfern smiled, waiting for her to come over. When she was there, he rubbed his pelt against her. "Great announcement." He said with a grin. "Thanks for the rank." He smiled at her warmly.

"Any time." Icestar said warmly. "I knew you would protect the clan at the cost of your life. That's just the way you are." Icestar said purring.

Branchfur smiled and nodded. "Yes, and you." He purred louder. "Want to get a snack?" He asked gently.

"Sure."

Branchfern walked over to the fresh kill pile and plucked a mouse off. "Take your pic?" He asked, pointing to the pile with his tail. "Hmm.... I think you'll get a.... squirrel." He guessed.

"Good guess!" Icestar said happily as she walked over to the fresh kill pile.

He placed the squirrel for her and sat down with the mouse, looking over at her with a smile.
