Searching for Something

Subject: Searching for Something 6th May 2013, 12:51 am

Tanstripe padded through the Airclan territory. He was looking for something in special. Something he had lost. He searched the ground and all undergrowth that was there. "Where could it be?" He asked aloud.

Mintfur heard rustling and padded forward. "What are you looking for?" She asked worriedly.

"Something. It is very special." He said, not looking up. "It is a rock with a feather stuck in the middle. I had to set it down but now I can't find it." Looking up at her desperately Tanstripe meowed, "Will you help me find it?!"

"Thanks!" Tanstripe squeaked before going back to searching. "Where could it be? Oh where?" Maybe Mintfur will find it first... He started to search the trees but he doubted that this feather rock was up there.

"It is one of the biggest feather ever with a really round rock on the end of it. The feather is very yellow and the rock looks green. The feather and the rock both have stripes on them." Tanstripe described.

Mintfur nodded slowly, and meowed,"Okay. Let's look." And got back to searching to the "feather rock".

"Yes. I must find that feather rock!" Tanstripe meowed. From the tree he could see most of the ground. He thought he saw something. "Is that is Mintfur?" He pointed where he thought it was with his tail. I sure hope that is it!

Tanstripe leaped out of the tree. He bound over to meet Mintfur. Then he turned and headed for the feather rock. "Come on!"

When he finally reached it he gasped. "WOW! It looks just how I remember!" Then again I only lost it a sunrise ago...

"Is it the feather rock?" Mintfur asked eagerly.

"Yes!" He picked the feather rock up and put it in front of Mintfur. "What do you think?"

When they got back to camp, Mintfur walked back to Tanstripe. "Need help?" She asked.

Tanstripe thought a moment. "Well right now I am just trying to decide whether I should put this in the nursery for any future kits or hide it somewhere special in camp."

Mintfur froze for a minute. "Me too. I just kinda, well,.. haven't found the right cat yet." And she looked up at him.
